Services
The Services admin module allows you to manage services and categories.
The Services screen is shown below:
There are two panes on the Services screen, the Service and Service Definition panes.
Service Pane
The Service pane displays all existing service and categories. Highlight a service or category to view additional information about it in the Service Definition Pane.
Service Definition Pane
The Service Definition pane displays additional information about the services and categories.
The following fields are displayed on the Service Definition pane for services. The fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required.
- Active
- Name*
- Description
- Units*
- User Supplied Fee - If checked, a fee cannot be configured for this service, the user must enter a fee for this service.

Creating A Service/Category
Follow these steps to create service or category.
- If adding a service, highlight the category that the service to be added belongs to.
- Click the Add Category or Add Service button, located at the bottom of the Service pane.
- Enter the necessary information into the fields on the Service Definition pane.
- Click the Save button, located at the bottom of the Service Definition pane.
Making A Service/Category Inactive
Making a service or category inactive causes it to not be displayed. Therefore, this is a good option for short-term changes.
Only services that are not active on any service lists can be made inactive. Highlight the service and uncheck the Active checkbox in the Service Definition pane to make the service inactive.
Only categories that are not active on any service lists can be made inactive. This means that all services belonging to the category must not be active on any service list, before a category can be made inactive. Highlight the category and uncheck the Active checkbox in the Service Definition pane to make the service inactive.
When a category is made inactive, all services in that category are made inactive as well.
Deleting A Service/Category
Deleting a service or category is appropriate for completely removing an item that will never be used again.
Only inactive services that are not assigned to a service list can be deleted. Services that are assigned to a service list must be made inactive. Highlight the service and click the Delete button in the Service Definition pane to delete a service.
Only empty inactive categories can be deleted. Highlight the category and click the Delete button in the Service Definition pane to delete a category.
