Sketches

TicketRx can be configured to integrate with drawing applications on your user's computers. This allows the locators to launch the drawing application, with a pre-loaded tempalte and have the drawing attached to the ticket.

The Sketches screen, shown below, is used to manage the sketch options available on the Attachments tab of the Ticket Detail screen.

To create a sketch option, click the New button, then enter all of the sketch option information into the corresponding fields. Once all necessary information has been entered, click the Save button.

To edit an existing sketch option, enter a value for the Name or Active criteria and click the Search button located to the right of the Active field. Then, select the sketch option and make any changes necessary. Once all necessary changes are made, click the Save button.

Changes to the sketch options will be available to users after they perform a sync.

You can change the columns that are displayed on the Sketches pane by configuring the grid.

Create/Edit Tab

The Create/Edit tab, shown below, contains the following fields:

  • Name* - the name of the sketch option. This value is displayed in the sketch options drop-down box on the Attachments tab of the Ticket Detail screen.
  • Command Line* - this is the command that the sketch option will run. Enter in the path to the application, the sketch option will launch, and the placeholder "%f". The placeholder represents the file that will be opened by the application, as specified in the Template Name field.
  • Template Name* - specifies the file that will be used for the sketch option
  • Template Description
  • Active - If checked, the sketch option is displayed in the sketch options drop-down menu.
  • Default - If checked, the sketch option will be displayed as the default choice on the sketch options drop-down menu button.
