Status Codes

The Status Codes module is used to edit and create status codes. Status codes are used to mark the status of locates in the Ticket Detail screen.

To create a status code, click the Create Status button. Then, enter a status code, a category, and a description, and mark the check boxes for On Site and Notify Excavator if necessary. Once all this information has been entered, click the Save button.

To edit a status code, enter part or all of either the Status Code or Category. Then, click the Search button located to the right of the Notify Excavator drop-down box. Enter any necessary changes and click the Save button.

The Status Codes screen (shown below) contains the following fields:

  • Code
  • Category
  • Description - description of the status code
  • On Site - defines whether the locator has to be on site for this status
  • Notify Excavator - If checked, the excavator will be notified of this status if the feed is configured to notify excavators.

You can change the columns that are displayed on the Status Codes pane by configuring the grid.
