Township-Range Routing

The Township-Range Routing Tool is a graphical tool for creating and maintaining Township-Range -Section (TRS) routing rules in TicketRx. TRS routing rules are one of the custom routing rules formats that are available for use in TicketRx.

The Township-Range Routing Tool screen is shown below:

The first step is to select which feed to display, then choose what part of the TRS map to display. The rules for each area are represented by a different color on the grid. Use the Brush Tool to change the rules (by extending them, removing parts of them, or by creating new rules). Once the rules appear correct, verify that the changes shown below the grid are correct and save the changes.

If two rules for the same area are created side-by-side, they are combined into one rule. The rules are combined to minimize the number of rules for each area. As a result of this consolidation, when existing rules are displayed in grid for the first time, rules belonging to the same area that are side-by-side are combined as well.

Fill the following fields to define the grid displayed:

  • Feed - Click the binoculars icon next to the Feed field to open the Search for Feeds box. This box is used to search for a feed.
  • Base Township - This field defines the township value for the center of the grid.
  • Base Range - This field defines the range value for the center of the grid.
  • Grid Width - defines the width of the grid displayed. For example, if the base range is defined as "R3W" and the grid width is defined as "5", the grid displays from "R5W" to "R1W".
  • Grid Height - defines the height of the grid displayed. For example, if the base township is defined as "T3N" and the grid width is defined as "5", the grid displays from "T5N" to "T1N".

Click the Load Grid button to display the defined grid.

Also, all rules for a feed are displayed using the Display All Rules For Feed option. This display option does not work well with large maps, and the Display Region display option is the recommended display option.
