Downloading Attachments

To download an attachment from a ticket, click on the Attachments tab on The Ticket Detail screen. Highlight the attachments to be downloaded and click the Download button.

Attachments can also be downloaded and opened by simply double-clicking its entry on the Attachments screen. This will download the file and attempt to open it using a local application. For example, if it is an image file then it will likely launch Microsoft Paint. If it is a .doc file then it will likely launch Microsoft Word. The specific application launched is dependent on the local computer configuration that specifies what application to launch for each file extension. Once the attachment file is displayed in another application, if the user needs to save the file on their local computer, they can use that other application's file-saving capabilities to save the file locally.

Choose the location to save the file and click the Save button.

The Download Attachments box opens. It displays information about the files being downloaded and the progress of the attachment download.

The Remove All Completed button removes all completed files from the list in the Download Attachments box.

The same information displayed in the Download Attachments box is also displayed on the Attachments Downloads tab on the Sync screen.

To download attachments a user must have the "ATTACHMENT.DOWNLOAD" right.
