Configuring GPS Tracking

Configure GPS tracking by clicking the File button at the top left hand corner of the screen. Choose the Options choice from the File menu.

This opens the Options box containing the GPS Device box.

Check the GPS Tracking box to enable GPS Tracking. Then, choose the correct port that the GPS device is connected to from the Port drop-down box. Click the Save button to save the configuration changes. After the options are saved, GPS tracking will begin. Note - the user must have the "GPS.TRACKING" right to enable GPS Tracking.

The status of GPS Tracking is displayed on the bottom of the screen in the status bar to the right of the Version info. There are 4 different statuses for the GPS Tracking feature.

  • GPS Tracking Off - GPS Tracking is not enabled

  • GPS Connection Failed - TicketRx is unable to connect to the GPS Device

GPS Connection Failed

  • Lost GPS satellite signal - the GPS device cannot connect to the satellite signal

Lost Satellite Signal

  • GPS Tracking - TicketRx is connected to the GPS Device successfully and is collecting GPS Data
