Adding Risks (Damage Investigations)
Managers can add and manage risks (damage investigations) using TicketRx. New damage investigations are added using the Add Risk Screen. Existing damage investigations are managed using the Investigation screen.
To add a risk (damage investigation):
1) Click the Add Risk icon on the TicketRx menu bar. The Add Risk screen is displayed.
2) Type the details of the risk. As you type in the Add Risk screen, you will notice that certain fields remain highlighted in yellow until they are properly completed. If there are any errors in the format or if these fields are left blank, the fields will remain yellow.
The following fields are displayed on the Add Risk screen. The fields marked with a red asterisk are required (*).
- Notified by* - Person who submitted notification of the damage.
- Company - The employer of the person specified in the Notified by field.
- Phone
- When notified*
- Investigation Type* - Specifies whether the investigation is being performed on an "internal locate", "external locate" or "no locate". If the "external locate" or "no locate" type is selected, the Questions tab will not be visible on the Investigate screen. The labels displayed for these options are configurable, so you might see different labels on your screen. Configuring these labels is described here.
- Ticket # - Click the Find button to search for the internal ticket associated with the investigation. This field is only available for the "internal Locate" investigation type. Where possible, the other, empty data fields will be auto-populated from the selected ticket.
- Damage Ticket # - Click the Find button to search for the damage ticket associated with the investigation. This is the number assigned to the damage ticket sent by the one-call center. Where possible, the other, empty data fields will be auto-populated from the selected ticket.
- External Ticket # - Specifies the external ticket associated with the investigation. This field is only available for the "external locate" and "no locate" investigation types.

- Region* - The internal region associated with the investigation
- Customer Region - The customer region associated with the investigation. This field is primarily used for third-party investigations.
3) After you have typed the required and necessary information, click Save Investigation. TicketRx displays the number assigned to the damage investigation.
4) To view the investigation you just created, click View Investigation. TicketRx opens the investigation in the Investigate screen where you can edit and add details to the investigation.
5) To add another damage investigation, click Enter Another.
