Add A Locate

The Add A Locate feature allows you to manually add locates to an existing ticket.

This feature is performed by clicking the Add Locate button in the Ticket Detail screen:

After the Add Locate button has been clicked, the Utility List dialog box appears (shown below). It lists the Utility/Term pairs available for the manual feeds in the state from where the original ticket was delivered.

The new locate is assigned to the locator that adds it, so he must have a bucket. Otherwise, he will get the "Locate has no bucket" error message during sync.

Once the locate is added, it may be processed the same way as all other locates.

If a locate is added to a closed ticket, the ticket is reopened. Therefore, the user must have the "TICKET.REOPEN" right to add a locate to a closed ticket.

If a locate is added to a regular ticket the new locate will be recorded as due in two days. If a locate is added to an emergency ticket the new locate will be recorded as due in two hours.

Note: To use the Add A Locate feature, the user must have the "TICKET.ADDLOCATE" right.
