Excavator Signature

The Signature tab on the Ticket Detail screen allows a locator to electronically collect an excavator's signature in the field using a pen-based Tablet PC.

Users must have the TICKET.SIGNATURE right to view the Signature tab.

The Signature tab (shown below) contains the following fields:

  • Signature Box
  • Name*
  • Title*
  • Company*
  • Date
  • Unable to Get Signature - If the requirement level is set to "Required (Allow Override)", check this box to override the excavator signature requirement.

The excavator signature requirement level is configured on the Admin/Utility screen.

If the excavator signature is required for a utility but has not been obtained or overridden, the error message shown below is displayed when attempting to close the ticket.

Follow these steps to collect an excavator signature:

  1. Have the excavator representative sign in the Signature box.
  2. Enter the correct information for the Name, Title, and Company fields.
  3. Press the Accept button.
