Time Entry
You will use the TicketRx system to enter in time in your daily time sheet. To do this, you will need to click on the Time Entry icon at the top of your screen. You can first select the date by using the left or right scroll buttons on the upper left-hand portion of the screen, or you can click on Current Date to enter in time for the current date. You can enter in time for any date.
To enter the time, simply click on the Add button. The Add Hours section will become active and allow you to enter in the Project, the Type, the Start and End time, and any breaks you take in between. To select a project, click on the drop-down menu and choose a project from the available list. These projects vary, so check with your manager to see which one you should be using. The Type can also be chosen from a drop-down menu. The rest of the fields will require you to type in your information. Note that time is entered in military time. The program will automatically calculate your total hours of work, taking into account any breaks. The system will also allow partial time entries, by entering a start time, and then saving the entry. To go back and finish the time entry, select the entry on the left, select Edit, and then complete the time entry. The partial Time Entry is only saved locally and will not be sent to the server until the Time Entry is completed.
Next, you can enter in your mileage. Enter in the starting and ending mileage and click Save Mileage to save your entry. You can also enter notes. When you are finished entering information, click the Save Entry button at the bottom of the field.
Notice that as you start entering information, the information in the dialog box at the bottom will change depending on whether or not you are entering in information correctly, telling you why your Save button is not active. All the information should be entered correctly before clicking Save. The box below will tell you if something is not valid.
The Time Entry screen is shown below:
Once you click Save, your times will be displayed in the box on the left-hand side. The upper right-hand check box will display that this data is entered. If you need to edit the information before submitting it, select the shift and click Edit. Once you have made your changes, click Save Entry again and the changes will be reflected on the left-hand side.
Once you are happy with the information, you can click the Submit button. A dialog box will pop up asking you to confirm the accuracy of your submission. To confirm, type yes and click OK. The check box will now display that this data is submitted. To complete the process, you will need to ensure that you have a connection to the Internet, and then click the sync button to send the information back to the server. The manager will be able to review your time sheet and, if there are any questions, unsubmit the sheet so you can make any necessary changes.

If the user has sufficient rights, then a timesheet can be corrected even after it has been submitted or approved. Click the Unsubmit button, and the timesheet will become editable once more. When a timesheet is "unsubmitted" then it will need to be submitted again and any prior approval will be removed. If the user does not rights to unsubmit a timesheet, then the manager will need to deny the time in order for the user to update their timesheet. The maximum time interval during which users can unsubmit their timesheet is defined by the time.unsubmit.day.range system configuration parameter.
