Showing Tickets on a Map
TicketRx can be configured to use a variety of mapping engines. These engines are listed in a mapping button in the Ticket Detail screen.

In order to switch between mapping engines, use the arrow on the mapping button.

Once a mapping engine is selected from the drop-down list, every time the button is pressed, that mapping engine will be invoked.

The application saves the user's choice of mapping engine. Next time TicketRx is started, the same mapping engine is selected by default.
Mapping integration with AutoDesk Viewer is available in an early beta form. This feature allows a ticket location to be displayed in AutoDesk Viewer. AutoDesk Viewer is a map view that is centered on the location of the ticket. The location can be mapped using either the latitude/longitude values or the quarter-minute-grid location from the ticket. If the quarter-minute-grid location is used then AutoDesk Viewer is centered on the center of the grid location.
In order to use this feature, AutoDesk Viewer needs to be supplied with a map of the area where the tickets are.
Configuring TicketRx to use AutoDesk Viewer requires two entries in the Admin screen:
- The first entry is on the Selection Options screen. This entry will add AutoDesk Viewer to the mapping button on the Ticket Detail screen.
- The second entry is on the System screen. This entry consists of a URL that points to a map file on the locating company's server. The map file is required for AutoDesk to display the location of the locate.
