Viewing Tickets In Microsoft MapPoint®
Tickets can be viewed in Microsoft MapPoint® from the Ticket Detail and My Tickets screens.
Ticket Detail
Click the MapPoint button on the Ticket Detail screen to map the ticket location in MapPoint®.
The MapPoint button is shown circled in red below:
The MapPoint® mapping feature in TicketRx can be configured to map tickets using one of two methods first by default. Please contact the MWM support team to configure this option.
- Ticket Address
- Quarter-Minute Grids
Ticket Address
If the MapPoint® mapping feature is set to map the ticket address first by default, it will do the following:
- It attempts to match the street name, city and state from the ticket address to a location in MapPoint®.
- If a match for all three fields is found, this address is mapped.
- If a match is not found for all three fields, the quarter-minute grids (if present) from the ticket are mapped.
- If there are no quarter-minute grids present on the ticket, the closest match to the address is mapped.

Quarter-Minute Grids
If the MapPoint® mapping feature is set to map the quarter-minute grids first by default, it will do the following:
- If present on the ticket, the quarter-minute grids from the ticket are mapped.
- If there are no quarter-minute grids present on the ticket, the closest match to the address is mapped.

My Tickets
Click the To MapPoint button on the My Tickets screen to open a MapPoint® map displaying the location of the tickets in the list. It displays only tickets which are selected on the My Tickets screen, or all the tickets if nothing is selected.

The image below displays the ticket locations as shown in MapPoint®.

Choose the "Optimize Stops" option from the "Route" menu in MapPoint to create an optimized route for the tickets.

The image below displays the optimized route as shown in MapPoint®.

Note: The user must have Microsoft MapPoint® installed on their machine to use this feature.

TicketRx relies on the programmability of Microsoft MapPoint to provide the mapping features that are described above. Microsoft Streets and Trips will not integrate with TicketRx because it does not offer the programmability that MapPoint offers.
