Sync

After logging in, a sync should be performed to make sure that the user's information is up-to-date. The sync will send any changes you have made to the main server, as well as collect any changes made on the server since the last sync. It is important to perform a sync before beginning work.

To perform a sync, simply click on the Sync button at the top of your screen. Note that you must be connected to the Internet to perform a sync. If you do not have a connection to the Internet, an error will occur. You may minimize TicketRx, make a connection to the Internet, and resync. The screen will turn yellow while the sync is taking place, and will return to white once it is completed. The screen will show several pieces of information. You should see the number of tickets in cache and the total time the sync took. This lets you know that the sync was successful. If the sync was not successful, an error would appear at the bottom stating why it was not successful.

Syncs may be performed as often as necessary. Check with your supervisor to find out how often you should be performing your syncs.
