Show Chart Button

Using the Show Chart button you can create a chart representing the data shown in the query table. The Show Chart button is shown below:

Chart Config Button

The Chart Config button is used to configure the appearance of the chart.

Chart Properties Box

After the Chart Config button is clicked, the Chart Properties box is opened. The Chart Properties box contains the following options:

  • Chart Type - specify what type of chart you want to create
  • Enable Drill Through
  • Chart Title - give the chart a title
  • Chart Title Font - specify the font to be used for the chart title
  • Horizontal axis label - label the horizontal axis
  • Vertical axis label - label the vertical axis
  • Axes Label Font - specify the font to be used for the axis label
  • Axes Tick Label Font
  • Show Legend - choose whether or not to display the legend and where to display the legend
  • Legend Font - specify the font to be used for the legend
  • Show Slicer - choose whether or not to display the slicer and where to display the slicer
  • Chart Height - specify the height of the chart
  • Chart Width - specify the width of the chart
  • Background - specify the background color for the chart

Exporting

Data from the OLAP can be exported in two formats:

  • PDF - Adobe Reader format
  • XLS - Microsoft Excel format

PDF

Using the Print This Page via PDF button, you can export the query table and chart in PDF format.

The Configure Print Settings button is used to configure the appearance of the PDF output.

The Configure Print Settings button is shown below:

After the Configure Print Settings button is clicked, the Print Properties box is opened.

The Print Properties box contains the following options:

  • Report Title - give the report a title
  • Page Orientation - Portrait or Landscape
  • Paper Size - select what paper size the report will be sized to fit
  • Custom Height/Width - specify a custom height and width for the output
  • Table Width - specify the width of the table or leave the box unchecked to have the table width set automatically
  • Chart on separate page - If checked, the chart will be displayed on a separate page.

XLS

Using the Start Excel button you can export the query table in XLS format.

The output will appear exactly the same in Excel as it does on the OLAP screen.

Note: Data exported into Excel can not be expanded or unexpanded within Excel.
