Installing and Running TicketRx

Local administrative rights are not required to install or run the TicketRx client application.

Once Java is installed, the TicketRx application can be installed and run simply by clicking on a web link. When the link is first accessed, the TicketRx client application will be downloaded and installed locally as a Java Web Start application. When the application link is accessed again, the user's computer will use the locally installed version and check the web server for any updates to the client application. The user can also create a shortcut on their desktop to launch the application.

TicketRx uses the Pack200 compression algorithm for transferring the application over the network. This reduces the bandwidth usage during installation and update. This is particularly valuable for users with limited data volume plans or poor network connections.

Download

To install TicketRx, visit the launch page that has been assigned to your organization. Click the link for the client version that you want to install, most typically the Production link.

Internet Explorer will launch TicketRx at this point, with no additional prompt.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox:

Your Internet browser should display a window asking to "Open" or "Save" the file. Choose to open the file and click "OK".
