Air Cards
An air card is a device used to connect to wireless Internet networks. Air cards most often connect to computer through a USB port or a PCMCIA slot. With an air card a user does not have to rely on a stationary Internet connection allowing them to sync and upload attachments in the field.

Aircards are available through various vendors such as Sierra Wireless, Sony Ericsson and, Kyocera Wireless. A new aircard costs around $250 while refurbished ones can be purchased for about $150.
Several wireless carriers such as Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and AT&T offer wireless Internet plans with 5 gigabytes of usage per month for $60.
